RCH/YOSHIMURA/SUZUKI FACTORY RACING LOOKS AHEAD TO FORD FIELD

CHINO, Calif. (March 24, 2017) – With 11 races down and six to go, RCH/Yoshimura/Suzuki Factory Racing heads into tomorrow night focusing on the task at hand when Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, returns to Ford Field for Round 12 of 2017.
As the season passes the three-quarter mark on Saturday, the potent RCH duo of Broc Tickle and Justin Bogle are looking no further ahead then what’s immediately in front of them, beginning with the first practice of the day.
Tickle, the 27-year-old rider of the No. 20 Suzuki RM-Z450 and senior member of the RM Army, knows that philosophy will best prepare him and his team for a successful outing in what he considers a home race.
In two previous 450SX Class Detroit starts, Tickle has never finished outside the top seven and boasts a 6.5 average finish. The 2011 Western Regional 250 SX Class Champion recorded his best finish at Ford Field in 2014 when he finished sixth.
“I’m looking forward to Detroit,” Tickle said. “That’s kind of a home race for me. My wife’s family is from Michigan so I’ll have a lot of people there to support me. We’ve got six more so it’s time for me to put myself in a position to be up front and run with those guys. I did it in Toronto so I know what it takes. It’s time to make it happen.”
Tickle is currently ninth in Monster Energy Supercross points and has moved up seven spots in the standings since his 16th-place finish in the season opener in Anaheim, Calif. His 116 points place him one marker in front of 10th-place Dean Wilson and 14 points behind eighth-place and two-time series champion Chad Reed.
Bogle finished 10th in last year’s visit to the “Motor City” but prior to 2016, the rider of the No. 19 Suzuki RM-Z450 took top honors in 250SX Class competition in 2015 and finished second the year before.
Last week in Indianapolis, the 2014 Eastern Regional 250SX Class Champion won his semifinal going away and was strong early in the main event but after battling strep throat throughout the week, faded to 15th before the checkered flag waved on Round 11.
“I had a rough weekend in Indianapolis,” commented Bogle who turned 24 on Thursday. “I was battling a case of strep throat and by the time the main came around, I didn’t have a lot of energy left. I didn’t drill my start and kind of struggled to make my way through the pack. I rode well for the first eight or so laps and then just had nothing left energy-wise. There wasn’t much left that I could have done. I’m excited to put that one behind me and move forward. I know I’m much better than what the results have been showing. I know I keep saying it but it’s going to turn around here soon. Coming into Detroit, my birthday was this week so I’m feeling good about that. Ford Field is the last place I got a win on a 250 so I’m feeling good about this weekend. I’m staying positive.”
Before the gate drops at the track, Tickle and Bogle will meet fans and sign autographs tonight from 6-7 p.m. at Rosenau Powersports. Monster Energy AMA Supercross from Ford Field will be televised live on FS1 tomorrow beginning at 7 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time, 4 p.m. Pacific.
