RCH/YOSHIMURA/SUZUKI FACTORY RACING STAYS TRUE TO FORM AT IRONMAN NATIONAL

CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. (August 28, 2017) – Solid. Consistent. Dependable. Those three words not only reflect RCH/Yoshimura/Suzuki Factory Racing’s day in Saturday’s Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship Ironman National, but they mirror how RCH has operated throughout its entire existence.
RCH wrapped up 2017 and the team’s final race with rider’s Justin Bogle and Matt Bisceglia finishing ninth and 12th, respectively.
On the heels of his first career premier 450 Class win in Round 11, Bogle carved out a solid 11-9 finish in the season finale to earn his 11th top 10-effort of the 12-race season.
Officially, Bogle wraps up the 2017 season sixth in points with one win, two top-five and 11 top-10 finishes.
“We had our share of challenges so it was good to wrap up the year with a decent finish,” commented Bogle. “I was hoping to back up the win from Budds Creek but it just wasn’t our day. I have to thank everybody at RCH for all of their hard work. Carey (Hart), RC (Ricky Carmichael) and this entire team have worked really hard and put incredible Suzuki RM-Z450s under me all year. Even after everyone found out the team was shutting down, no one wavered. To be honest, I think everyone worked a little harder. It’s been an amazing group of people to go to the races with every week. I’ll always be proud to have been a part of this team.”
Bisceglia weathered a pair of challenging races in each moto but still managed a respectable 15-11 effort to bring home a 12th-place showing. Since being named in July to fill in for Broc Tickle, the rider of the No. 43 Suzuki collected three Holeshot Awards and earned five top-10 moto finishes.
“The thing that I’ll remember the most is that was an amazing atmosphere at the race,” said Bisceglia. “The thing that I enjoyed was being around all these upbeat people and the amazing crew. It reminded me why I’m at the races. We’re out there doing what we love and are supposed to be having fun. If you’re not out there having fun, then why are you even there? These guys brought a fun atmosphere so it makes everything that much better. I’ve had a blast and I really wish we had a couple more rounds rather than just this last one. It’s definitely been a fun ride. That’s the biggest thing I’m taking away is just how much fun this summer has been.”
Immediately following the season finale, Hart posted his sentiments to his official Facebook page, thanking sponsors, team members and fans alike for his time as an owner in the sport.
“I'm gonna keep this short and sweet, thank you to everyone,” wrote Hart. “Thank you to all of the sponsors, riders, crew, and fans for keeping RCH Racing going for the 10 race seasons. The RCH staff is what really made this program top notch, and for that I thank you guys for all of your hard work and dedication. It's definitely bitter sweet. Exactly one year ago, we were celebrating our outdoor championship and this year we are closing the doors. I can tell you this, we contributed to changing the sport for the good. We shook things up and rocked the boat. We showed that the under dog cannot only win races, but win a championship. We showed that we can have fun, but also be vicious competitors. Thanks Ricky Carmichael for taking a chance on a tattooed scumbag. We had a great run, but all good things come to an end. Thanks for the memories, everyone.”
