Suzuki Inside Line- Anaheim 2 Supercross
Round Three of Monster Energy AMA Supercross headed back to Southern California for Anaheim 2. For the very first time in Supercross history, a “Triple Crown” format was implemented to shake up the points chase. With three main events in each class and Olympic-style scoring, the sold-out crowd was treated to a thrilling night of racing. Check out the Suzuki Inside Line of what happened at Angel Stadium!
Autotrader/Yoshimura/Suzuki Factory Racing - Weston Peick wowed the sold-out crowd of 45,050 strong by battling his way to a third consecutive top-five finish. With consistently good starts on his Suzuki RM-Z450, Peick is destined to make his way to the podium this season. Fill-in rider Malcolm Stewart again drew large crowds of fans during autograph signings and advanced into the main events through his qualifying time of 51.363 seconds. With combined scores of 16-8-14, Stewart finished one spot outside of the top ten for the night. Suzuki RM-Z250 riders Phil Nicoletti and Justin Hill both made strides toward the top five finishing in ninth and tenth overall respectively. The team will get back to work during the week testing and training for this weekend’s race in Glendale, Arizona.

H.E.P. Motorsports –Texas native Kyle Cunningham put his H.E.P. Motorsports backed Suzuki RM-Z450 into the night show through a third place LCQ qualifying position. Throughout all three main events, Cunningham rode smart, consistent laps to finish 15th in main event #3 and earning 19th overall for the night.

Nut Up/LVN100/Suzuki - Nut Up/LVN100/Suzuki team rider Matt Bisceglia had a good day of qualifying despite soldiering through with an injured shoulder. In the 450 LCQ, a last corner pass caught him off guard and forced him to miss making the main event by one spot. Bisceglia will regroup this week and focus on next Saturday’s race. Team owner and rider Josh Hansen will make his season debut on the all-new Suzuki RM-Z450 this weekend in Glendale, Arizona.
