AUTOTRADER/SUZUKI/JGRMX EAST RUTHERFORD RACE REPORT

HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. (April 30, 2017) – 59,583 fans packed MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. for the penultimate round of the 2017 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship and Fox Network television aired the entire event live.    

Justin Barcia transferred directly to the Main Event through Heat Two and Jake Weimer transferred through Semi Two.  Barcia began the Main Event inside the top-10 and advanced to fourth where he remained for several laps before dropping to ninth on lap 20 which is where he finished.  Weimer was in 14th position at the conclusion of the first lap and worked his way up to 11th at the checkers.

Kyle Cunningham contested the 250SX East Class transferring directly to the Main Event through his Heat Race.  He started the Main Event just outside of the top-10 and steadily progressed throughout the race to earn seventh at the finish.     

The final round of the series will be held in Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas, Nev. on May 6.  Fox Sports One will air the event live starting at 10:00 p.m. (EST).  The final race will combine the 250SX East and West divisions, so both Cade Autenrieth and Cunningham will race the event on their RM-Z250 machines, with Barcia and Weimer aboard their RM-Z450s.
